Association of Electronic Industries in Singapore |
 |
Greetings from the Association of
Electronic Industries in Singapore (AEIS).
Since its inception on 7 November 1973, AEIS has
played a vital role in promoting companies in the
electronics sector not only within Singapore, but also
internationally.
This is achieved through its ongoing trade
development efforts to help Singapore companies better
penetrate and position itself in overseas markets.
AEIS aspire to be the Association that not only
actively providing opportunities for companies to
globalise but also resourceful - providing relevant and
useful information benefiting the electronics industries
as a whole.
AEIS plans to reach out, expand and get connected
with the relevant global players, Trade Association,
Chambers and government agencies to position itself
favourably - eventually, perhaps representing Singapore
in regard to electronics and electronics related global
gathering and conferences benefiting its members and the
electronics industries in Singapore.
Moving forward, AEIS believes that "Together We
Could Achieve More". Thus, AEIS will consistently
work with the relevant government agencies, trade
association and chambers of commerce in fulfilling its
roles and functions in helping its members and the
electronics industries in Singapore in their strive
towards business excellence.
On this note,
I
wish you one and all a very successful year ahead.
AEIS IN THE YEAR 2008/2009
AEIS had survived the economic crisis in 2008/2009.
It has successfully organised and led 6 Trades Shows
- Singapore Pavilion - supported by IE Singapore and
supported more than 6 shows in recruiting
participants. More than 60 companies had
participated in these shows. The average size
of the Singapore Pavilion organised and led by AEIS
in 2008 was 300 sqm.
AEIS had positioned itself quite favourably in
2008/2009. It has not only consolidated the
confidence and trust of its existing business
partners, but, attracted new business partners - in
particular show organisers -from countries like
Europe, Russia, Mexico, Brazil, Indonesia and China.
In its continuous efforts in creating awareness of
the association and providing platform for its
members to reach out to the abundant opportunities
locally and internationally, AEIS would be printing
AEIS Members Directory in 2010. This directory
will be distributed FREE to government agencies,
trade associations, chambers of commerce and other
related organisations in Singapore and overseas.
It will also be distributed at all overseas trade
shows organised and led by AEIS. It is
expected to be launched and released in Mid 2010.
AEIS website is one of the channels of creating
awareness and reaching out to the masses. With
this in mind, AEIS is planning and working on
regular and consistent update of the website as
to provide updated relevant and useful information
to its members and the electronic industries at
large.
MOVING FORWARD TO THE YEAR 2010
The Association of Electronic Industries in
Singapore (AEIS) is geared to assist and facilitate
its members and the electronic industries in
Singapore to meet the challenges ahead. We
plan to provide useful and relevant platforms for
its members to explore and expand its businesses.
AEIS would be supporting, organising and leading a
Singapore Pavilion at more than 15 overseas Trade
Shows. These trade shows would be held in
countries including Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand,
India, Indonesia, Russia, Germany, Mexico and China.
Most of these events would be supported by the
International Enterprise Singapore. For more
information, you may wish to contact Mr Hamzah Bani,
Executive Director-AEIS at (65) 67761880 or email
hamzah@aeis.org.sg.
Apart from trade shows, AEIS acknowledged the
importance of Relevant and Useful information in
doing business. With this, AEIS enhance its
efforts and would be working with various government
agencies and trade association - locally and
internationally - in providing regular updates on
relevant and up-to-date information to its members
and the electronic industries at large. This would
be disseminated via email and posted on AEIS
website.
2010 is going to be a very challenging year.
AEIS wishes each and everyone every success ...
Together We Could Achieve More.
