THE ASSOCIATION OF ELECTRONIC IDUSTRIES IN SINGAPORE (AEIS)

The Association of Electronic Industries in Singapore (AEIS) is a non-profit organization and the only industry association representing the electronics business in Singapore.

AEIS represents all facets of the electronics and supporting services industries. It covers manufacturers of industries electronics, electronic components and consumer electronics products as well as industrial companies associated with the electronics industry.

Since its inception on 7 November 1973, AEIS has played a vital role in promoting the industries not only within Singapore, but also in the international business community. This is achieved through its ongoing trade development efforts to help Singapore companies better penetrate and favourably positioned itself in the overseas markets.

AEIS OBJECTIVES

(I)  to promote the electronics industry within Singapore and promote the local electronics industry internationally;

(ii) to represent the local electronics industry in both local and international bodies, institutions and associations;

(iii) to exchange trade and technical information including information relating to manufacturing, programmes and products skills both locally as well as with the electronics industries in other countries;

(iv) to study and develop technology within the electronics industry in Singapore;

(v) to examine and promote domestic and export markets for the electronics industry in Singapore;

(vi) to promote healthy competition through co-operation with the other electronics in the region.
