THE ASSOCIATION OF ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIES IN SINGAPORE (AEIS)
 
The Association of Electronic Industries in Singapore (AEIS) is the only industry association representing the electronics business in Singapore.
 
AEIS represents all facets of the electronics and supporting services industries. It covers manufacturers of industrial electronics, electronic components and consumer electronics products as well as industrial electronics companies associated with the electronics industry.
 
Since its inception on 7 November 1973, AEIS has played a vital role in promoting the industries not only within Singapore, but also internationally.  This is achieved through its ongoing trade development efforts to help Singapore companies better penetrate and position itself in overseas markets. 
 
Objectives
 
(i)   to promote the electronics industry within Singapore and promote the 
local electronics industry internationally;

(ii)   to represent the local electronics industry locally and internationally;

(iii)  to exchange trade and technical information including information relating to manufacturing, programmes and products skills both locally as well as with the electronics industries in other countries;

(iv)   to study and develop technology within the electronics industry in Singapore;

(v)    to examine and promote domestic and export markets for the electronics industry in Singapore;

(vi)   to provide relevant and useful knowledge to facilitate its members and the industries as a whole to enhance their capability in their strive towards business excellence.

Trade and Investment Missions

Trade and investment missions are organized to help members explore business opportunities and identify joint venture projects in overseas markets.

 
Trade Fairs

AEIS organizes and lead Singapore Pavilion in local and international trade fairs. AEIS also coordinates and assists companies to apply for government grants for their participation in approved trade fairs with the support of International Enterprise Singapore.

 
Business Matching

Enquiries from local and foreign businessmen in search of products and services from Singapore are channeled to the members.

 
News Update

News updates on the programs and activities organized by the AEIS, as well as industry news and statistics, are disseminated to members regularly and posted in the AEIS website.
 
  
Talks and Seminars

Through its links with major overseas electronics associations and local government bodies, AEIS sources entrepreneurs, industrialists and technologists from leading electronics manufacturing companies to conduct talks, seminars and workshops. as well as information Exchange.  AEIS maintains contact and regular dialogue with major overseas electronics associations and trade promotion agencies for an exchange of information.
 
AEIS currently has an Agreement of Cooperation with the Semiconductor for Electronics Industry Foundation, Inc of the Philippines (SEIFI) and Memorandum of Understanding with the Electronic Industries Association of the Philippines, Inc. (EIAPI) and the Singapore Surface Finishing Society (SSFS).
 
AEIS will continue its efforts and growth to keep pace with the technological, manufacturing and marketing development to ensure sustainability and success of its members and the electronic industries Singapore.
